A Visual Tour through the 19 Years of Green Nations Gathering
The Green Nations Gathering met for the first time in September of 1989 at the Phoenicia Pathwork Center that is nestled in the Catskill Mountains of New York State. Our original vision was to bring together folks interested in the healing properties of plants to learn, network and renew our commitment to the Earth and all her beings.
We felt it was important to include the first nations of Turtle Island and so over the years have included Native peoples as special guests and teachers to bring the indigenous knowledge of this land to the gathering. We have been honored to have members of these great nations participate in the Green Nations Gathering: Mohawk, Tuscarora, Seneca, Oneida, Anishinabe, Cherokee, Abenaki, Lakota Sioux and Cheyenne. We also have included peoples of Aztec, Mayan, Quechua, Huichol and Incan heritages. We continue to carry on this tradition by including teachers and guests of varied indigenous backgrounds.
We hope you enjoy this journey down memory lane through visual images from the past 19 years of the Green Nations Gathering.
